Center for Security Printing and Anti-Counterfeiting (SPACT) Administration
Center administration is as follows: Dr. Jon Kellar (Center Director), Dr. P. Stanley May (USD Campus Coordinator), Dr. Brian Logue (SDSU Campus Coordinator) and Dr. Grant Crawford (SDSM&T Campus Coordinator). Brief biosketches for each are given below:
Jon Kellar is the Douglas Fuerstenau Professor of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering at SDSM&T. Nationally recognized as an NSF Presidential Faculty Fellow, he is also the 2015 AIME Mineral Industry Education Awardee and Carnegie Professor of the Year (SD). He received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Metallurgical Engineering from SDSMT and a PhD in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Utah in 1991. In addition to serving as SPACT Director he served as Department Head for twelve years and is currently the SDSM&T Materials Engineering and Science Graduate Program Coordinator.

Brian Logue is an Associate Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at SDSU. In addition to Center Campus Coordinator he serves as the SDSU site director of the SPACT REU site. He has served as major professor for 18 grad students (13 Ph.D., 5 M.S.), 5 postdoc research associates, and directly advised 27 undergrad researchers.

Stanley May is a Professor of Chemistry at USD. In addition to Center Campus Coordinator he is also the site director for the NSF SPACT REU. He was a managerial board member and Co-PI for the Northern Plains Undergraduate Research Center funded by the NSF URC program. He has served as major professor for 13 graduate students (6 Ph.D., 7 M.S.) and directly advised more than 30 undergraduate researchers.

Grant Crawford is an Assistant Professor of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering at SDSM&T. In addition to Center Campus Coordinator he serves as the PI and director of the NSF SPACT REU site. Prior to joining SDSMT in 2011, Crawford worked first as a senior engineer and later as an engineering manager in an advanced microelectronic packaging research and development organization at Intel Corporation. He has served as major professor for 10 grad students (3 Ph.D., 7 M.S.) and directly advised 13 undergraduate researchers.
