The Center for Security Printing and Anti-Counterfeiting Technology is a state of South Dakota Collaboration Research Center that involves faculty from the three research universities within the state.  The universities involved include South Dakota State University (Brookings, SD), the University of South Dakota (Vermillion, SD), Dakota State University (Madison, SD)  and the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.

The SPACT faculty span a wide range of disciplines that include physical science, engineering and behavioral science.  We pride ourselves on our multi-institutional and inter-disciplinary research partnerships, and welcome public/private partnerships.

Embedded within the SPACT Center is a National Science Foundation (NSF) Research Experiences for Undergraduates Site that hosts 10 students every summer to conduct research of relevance to the Center. Also embedded in the SPACT Center is an NSF National Research Traineeship Program for graduate students.
