A SPACT Center team led by Dr. William Cross was recently awarded a National Institute of Justice research award entitled “Security Crystals: NIR-To-NIR Upconverting Nanoparticles for Fingerprint Identification and DNA Extraction.” The research will be performed by researchers at the University of South Dakota and the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
